More Free Classes
I am just so excited about Christmas in July! Four more classes have been added to the day and some special events.
So...the new schedule is:
Miniature Knitting in a Glass Ball - 9am-10am
Holiday Themed Washcloth - 10am-11am
Mini Sweater Ornament - 11:30am-12:30pm
Tribble Dish Scrubby - 1pm-2pm
Knitter's Emergency Kit Ornament - 2:30pm-3:30pm
Knitted Stars Ornament - 4pm-5pm
All classes are free but have a materials fee of $5.00 per kit. Please call or email us to reserve your spot.
Charlotte's Bakery will be open at 9:00am for all class participants and has a special deal throughout the day. Show them your class ticket and receive $1.00 off any purchase of $5.00 or more.
Meg's sister, Susan, has brought down beautiful new markers for you. They will be here through Saturday.
Remember, our Christmas Eve Knit 'n Nosh is Friday night from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Come play!

Pineapple Pizza Party
Many of us have discovered that we love pineapple on pizza but no one else in the family does. So...we have decided to have a Pineapple Pizza Party!
Join us on Tuesday night, August 4 starting at 6:00pm for lots of different pineapple loaded pizzas, some pineapple themed patterns and oodles of fun.
Reservations must be made by Thursday, July 30th so that we know how much pizza to order and can then let you know the cost.

Knit 'n Nosh
Because Saturday is Christmas in July, we are making this month's Knit 'n Nosh on Friday night a Christmas Eve Dinner theme.
If you want to play along with our chilly, winter fantasy, please bring a dish that you would eat during the holidays. If you can make it a summer version, go for it!
Knit n' Nosh is Friday, July 24th, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. We have these on the 4th Friday of every month. Everyone is welcome.

Happy Holidays from Ancient Pathways
Greetings Happy Crafters,
It's Christmas in July. Please don't whack the messenger with a wet skein!
Ancient Pathways is having a party Saturday, July 25, to help you get a start on your holiday gift-making. It's only 5 months 'til Present Day, so mark your calendar and plan to spend the day in our really cool, air conditioned store, pretending you are ready for the holidays.
Holiday events will start at 9:00am. Iced Hot Chocolate will be served and events will include two free classes to get you started, plus our usual load 'o fun. A handout with lots of free projects which are available on the internet will be given to everyone who comes in the door along with a raffle ticket to win another of our delightful Goodie Bags.
In our first free class we will make a Holiday Ornament that is like a Ship in a Bottle. All materials except knitting needles will be provided for a $5.00 materials fee. You will need to come to class with a set of US size 2 needles. There are some shop needles available to borrow; please call us to reserve a pair. The class will be from 9:00am to 10:00am.
Our second free class will teach you how to make a holiday-themed Dish or Face Cloth. The materials fee for this class is $5.00, and includes a skein of hand dyed cotton. You will need to come to class with US size 7 needles (larger or smaller if your gauge tends to run to tighter or looser). This class will run from 10:00am to 11:00am.

Fish Net Scarf
Materials:
Any worsted to bulky yarn, 80 Yds
Eyelash yarn for ends if desired
Size 13 needles
Cast on 24 sts with base yarn and eyelash.
Row 1. K1, *k2tog, yo*, repeat between *’s end k1.
Repeat row 1 until piece is 3" long.
Ruffle decrease row:
K2tog across to end, cut eyelash. (12 sts)
Body of Scarf:
Repeat row 1 with base yarn only over 12 sts until scarf is 46” long.
Ruffle increase row:
Knit into the front and back of every stitch. (24 sts)
Add eyelash back in and repeat row 1 over 24 sts for 3”.
Bind off.

Summer Sock Hop Raffle Prize
Ancient Pathways will be holding a raffle towards a wonderful Jordana Paige knitting satchel filled with sock knitting prizes. Everyone who comes into the shop for the Summer Sock Hop will receive a raffle ticket and we will pick the winning ticket at 5:30pm. You need not be present to win, though it’s much more fun!
